    Engine Shootout

I set up this position from the post on the Budapest Gambit and ran a shootout with Houdini playing Black. Believing Black to have the inferior position, I wanted the strongest engine to play the inferior side. The whole thing was unscientific and does not prove anything beyond a doubt but the results of different engines against Houdini were:

    Fritz 12.........2.5 – 0.5
    Firebird........ 1.0 – 0.0
    RobboLito.....1.0 – 1.0 (2 draws)
    Stockfish......0.5 – 1.5

The results leave me thinking I was correct in believing White would have won. Clearly Stockfish and RobboLito are the weakest as neither on was able to force the win.
