    FM Alex Dunne Obituary

Back in February of 2021 FM Alex Dunne, the long time USCF columnist and Correspondence Chess Director, resigned his position because in October of 2020 he suffered a stroke and was no longer able to continue his duties. Sadly, I have just learned that Dunne died on January 16, 2023, at the age of 81 at home in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Obituary

    1. Very sorry to hear this. He wrote a couple of very interesting books many years ago, and I played hi once in a correspondence game. He was very gracious going over the game afterwards
