    Recollections of Chigorin’s Daughter

Chess in Translation, a Russian site with news in English published an article by Chigorin’s daughter back in 2010 that is interesting reading. It was originally sent to Alexander Kentler, a chess writer for the Soviet sportsdaily.ru and it contained the recollections of Mikhail Chigorin’s daughter on the 50th anniversary of her father’s death. She talks of his legendary absent-mindedness, how cigar smoke thwarted his title ambitions, and describes the last moments of his life and more. A must read!!  Link to Article
