Need To Make a Chess Training Video?

This is just a quick post about a small, easy to use screen capture program I discovered the other day called eLecta Live Free Screen Recorder that captures what's on your screen, or a portion of it, and saves it in AVI format. On the downside, it does not have any advanced tools for editing, so when you're done recording, that's it. It's of minimalistic design and has a very small memory usage, but offers high quality video and audio recording and you can run it on any low-end PC without problems. If you want a different format than AVI, you'll need to convert it using a video editing app like Handbrake.
The program would be handy if you are a chess coach or teach kids and want to make a training video. In order make it available to students to watch on their computer, you could save the video to Dropbox.   If you are not familiar with Dropbox, it allows users to create a special folder on their computers, which Dropbox then synchronizes so that it appears to be the same folder (with the same contents) regardless of which device is used to view it.  You can also provide a link to whatever file you want users to view.
Once installed when you click on the Desktop icon you get this box:

Click on New and this box comes up:

Once you have everything configured, start recording and when you're done it plays on Windows Media Player.
