Fischer Slays a Dragon

     I posted on the Reshevsky vs. Fischer match several years ago and this, the second game in the match, was one of the more interesting ones. It was a Sicilian Dragon which is still a great defense with its thematic tactical and strategic themes even if it has pretty much been abandoned by the GMs. Fischer never thought much of it, but it was a familiar standby for Reshevsky. 
     In this game Reshevsky lost the theoretical duel, but his legendary defensive cunning allowed him to save the day, But, as often happened, it cost him a lot of time on the clock and that factor, combined with Fischer's constant pressure, eventually took its toll.
