    Manuel Gerardo Monasterio

Who?! In 1999 he began playing by email at IECG. In 2003 he was the third Argentinean player to receive an official title on IECG, Email Master. After earning the IECG EM title he apparently became inactive. Monasterio was a writer on Jeremy Silman’s site where he wrote a correspondence chess openings section.
By profession he is a Licensed Psychologist and Medical Doctor (also a PHD in Botanic Medicine) writer and lecturer on Compared Religions, Beliefs and Practical Philosophy. As a hobby he composes songs.
There are some very interesting opening articles on Silman’s site that are worth checking out. His annotations are particularly instructive. VIEW ARTICLES
